Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
Dopamine Plus (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website at dopamine.plus and the Dopamine Plus browser extension. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Account information: Email address and display name provided through Google OAuth sign-in.
- Usage data: Analysis hour balance, purchase history, and report generation history.
- Generated reports: Neural impact reports you create by submitting YouTube URLs for analysis.
- Technical data: Browser type, device information, and anonymised usage analytics to improve the service.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not access your YouTube account, watch history, or subscriptions.
- We do not store raw video, audio, or image data from analysed videos.
- We do not track your browsing activity outside of dopamine.plus.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Dopamine Plus service.
- To manage your account and analysis hour balance.
- To process payments through Stripe (we never see your card details).
- To generate and store neural impact reports you request.
- To improve the service through anonymised, aggregated usage analytics.
5. Video Analysis
When you submit a YouTube URL for analysis, we fetch the publicly available video content, extract audio, visual, and transcript features, and process them through our neural analysis engine. Only the resulting report is stored — we do not retain the original video data after processing is complete.
6. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on GDPR-compliant infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We use Supabase for authentication and database services, and Stripe for payment processing — both are SOC 2 Type II certified.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing of your data.
You can delete your account and all data at any time from the Account Settings page. For other requests, contact us at privacy@dopamine.plus.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions and security. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
9. Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth: For authentication only. We receive your email and display name.
- Stripe: For payment processing. We never handle or store your payment card details.
- Supabase: For database and authentication infrastructure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
